Q: Why do I need an account on
Allrecipes?
A: In order to rate or review a recipe you need to establish
an account with a unique username and password for both Target.com and
Allrecipes.com. The recipes and their associated ratings and reviews that you
see on the Target.com website have been provided by Allrecipes.com. In
order to provide you with the most up to date recipes, ratings, and reviews,
all of this information lives on both Target.com and Allrecipes.com
simultaneously, which means if you rate or review one of the recipes while you
are on the Target.com site, the rating or review will be seen on both
Target.com and Allrecipes.com. Because you are actually rating or reviewing
an Allrecipes recipe, you will need to establish an Allrecipes.com account.
Q: Where do the recipes come
from?
A: All of the recipes you see in the recipe section of
Target.com come from home cooks like you who have submitted their recipes
to Allrecipes.com - a leading recipe website.
Q: Where do the ratings and
reviews come from?
A: Home cooks can rate and review the Allrecipes recipes on
either Target.com or on Allrecipes.com.
Q: Where do users submit
recipes?
A: If you have a great recipe that you'd like to submit, you
can do so on Allrecipes.com. Note that submitting a recipe to Allrecipes.com
does not necessarily mean it will be published to the Allrecipes.com website or
to the Target.com website.
Q: What is the "Remember Me"
function?
A: Once you have established an account with Target.com
and an account with Allrecipes.com, you can use the "Remember Me" checkbox on
the Allrecipes.com login page so that you don't need to log into Allrecipes
every time you rate or review a recipe on Target.com. Logging into your
Target.com account will be sufficient for accessing this feature. If you
use a public computer which is shared by other users, you should not choose the
"Remember Me" check box.
Q: How do I make it so that I
don't need to log into Allrecipes every time?
A: Once you have established an account with Target.com
and an account with Allrecipes.com, you can use the "Remember Me" checkbox on
the Allrecipes.com login page so that you don't need to log into Allrecipes
every time rate and review a recipe on Target.com. Just check the "Remember
Me" check box the next time you enter your username and password on the
Allrecipes.com login page.
Q: What do you do with my
information?
A: Allrecipes only uses your information to establish your own
personal account where you can rate and review recipes. Your information will
not be used to send you e-mail for marketing purposes or to be sold to any third
party. For further information, please review our privacy policy by clicking on
the "privacy policy" link at the bottom of the page.
Q: Do you share information
with Target?
A: No user information is shared between Target.com and
Allrecipes.com. Target and Allrecipes.com achieve this by requiring you to
have a separate user account with both Target.com and Allrecipes.com. If
you choose to rate or review a recipe, the rating and review will be shared on
both sites for other home cooks to read; but at no time do Target.com and
Allrecipes share your personally identifiable information with each other.
Q: Why do I need cookies
enabled?
A: Allrecipes requires cookies in order to ensure security of
personal accounts. If you wish to rate and review a recipe, you will need to
set your Internet browser to accept cookies from Target.com and
